4 week old twins schedule Tips

At 4 weeks twins are still feeding on demand and you’re still following feeding cues. At this time it might be hard to start a rigid schedule. So be flexible.

If for some reason your babies have started to fall into a pattern then they might be eating every 2-3 hours.

If this is not the case then don’t worry just keep doing what you need to survive.

2-3 month old twins daily routine

These are some samples of a 2-3-month-old twin schedule. You can follow it as directed but my goal is for you to use it as a guideline, not a law.

Remember to be flexible. The more flexible you’ll be the less disappointing you will be when your babies are not doing as exactly.

They are tiny humans, not robots so not everything will go as plan.

Trust me I was there. And I think I struggled so much with my first child because I had very unrealistic expectations of what “my baby” needed to be doing.

Once I let go of my unrealistic expectations life got so much easier.

Tips for a 2 month old twin babies routine

At this point, babies might have fallen into a pattern, and creating a flexible schedule might be easier.

  • Feed every 2- 3 hours. Still focus on twins feeding cues
  • At this point, they might be able to stay awake longer than an hour But definitely no more than 2
  • Good time to start a bedtime routine so they can begin to associate night time

Remember usual wake-up windows for this age are no longer than 2 hours.

Meaning if your baby has been up for more than 2 hours it might be time for a nap.

Another thing to keep in mind is how long are the naps lasting.

If your twins are napping longer than 2 hours…

Consider waking them up that way they don’t go more than 4 hours without feeding during the day.

PRO TIP: You want to make sure that your twins are getting enough nutrition throughout the day. This can impact their night sleep.

This is why I recommend parents to continue feeding their babies every 2-3 hours during the day regardless of their age…

Doing this assures that they are getting enough food during the day.

Tips for a 3 month old twin schedule

At this point, predictability has gotten much easier. Having a flexible schedule should also be much easier.

  • Start with wake time. It can be the same as 2 months
  • Feeding every 2-3 hours. Follow baby feeding cues
  • Can begin a bedtime routine
  • Start an early bedtime. shoot for 7-8 PM
  • At this point, babies are approaching the 4 months in which their sleep cycles will change to become like ours.
  • Having an early bedtime can start preparing your twins for the new sleep cycles.
